Who are we ?

At the heart of the energy transition, Startec Energy is a French group of 100 people located in Merignac. Through three subsidiaries (Neogy, BMS PowerSafe, Clairitec) and two brands (Belios, Selfenergy) Startec Energy designs and supplies technologies to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.

Specialising in designthe development and industrialization of sustainable electrical solutions, the group brings its 25 years of experience in R&D design to the entire value chain (batteries and intelligent systems, on-board electronics, energy conversion and industrial displays) and supports all professionals in the electrification of their products by providing complete and customised solutions.


As part of its major expansion, the Startec Energy Group is looking for its future Industrial Buyer.

Your role and missions:

Working within the purchasing department and under the direction of the CEO, you will be involved in sourcing and purchasing mechanical and electromechanical components during the project phase, in line with the company’s purchasing strategy. You negotiate commercial contracts in line with cost, deadline and quality objectives.

As such, your main activities are :

  • Define the supplier consultation procedure (sourcing) and selection criteria (approvals, technical performance, delivery times, financial health).
  • Monitor regulatory, technical, economic, competitive and supplier issues that may have an impact on the project, in conjunction with R&D, technical, production, marketing and quality departments.)
  • Sourcing and consulting suppliers
  • Search for suppliers, in particular in the internal database, audit new supplier candidates, request RFQ quotations.
  • Create a panel of short-listed suppliers for the project team.
  • Draft documentation for suppliers.
  • Prepare negotiations with the project team: set maximum and minimum objectives for each purchase in terms of price, quality, volume and delivery time.
  • Carry out a comparative analysis (benchmark) of bids, a competitive bidding process.
  • Negotiate contractual clauses: payment terms, technical specifications, quality, price, volume, delivery times, associated services.
  • Formalize purchase orders and amendments with the legal department.
  • Sign the contract award decision.
Required profile

Trained to degree level (Bac+3/5) in logistics purchasing and procurement, you have initial experience (work-study placement) in a purchasing department in an industrial environment.

You have a good command of negotiation techniques, and are creative and proactive. You will be able to identify, evaluate and select suppliers, draw up specifications and monitor contract performance.

Rigorous and determined by nature, your good interpersonal skills and adaptability will enable you to achieve your objectives. Fluency in written and spoken business English (international context)
